These are a bit pricey, but they are pretty good to have for artwork. The material is a good heavy plastic, and I expect it will last longer than I will. Not flimsy plastic like some of these types of products are. Not that those are bad, but you get what you pay for. When I color, I sometimes like to make my backgrounds have a design rather than just a sky or colored background, and these are perfect for that. These are an absolutely beautiful set of texture tiles. The patterns include four very useful basics, each in two different grid sizes. The tiles are what I would consider a professional grade material made from a solid plastic that should last a lifetime. These tiles are made of a thick plastic which is sturdy. It's very unlikely that these would break by accident. In other words, they will probably last forever. I am not much of an artist, but got these just for the fun of having an interesting tool. I tested these with a regular 2B pencil and some colored pencils. Love these sketch tiles to add to drawing projects. They are made with good, sturdy plastic. Should hold up. They do what they say! They're about the size of a smartphone, but a bit wider. Still, if you are on the fence, go for it!

These are super simple, just pieces of hard plastic with a texture on them. They do what they should, which is let you quickly fill in largish design areas of a drawing with a texture. They're fun to play with, and they do save time when the point of a drawing isn't to do every single pencil stroke by hand. Obviously they don't work completely seamlessly if you're trying to fill design areas larger than the size of the tile, but to me that's acceptable given that this style of fill is natural...

Excellent Tool, its well designed and very useful for my drawings as the patterns makes it easier for me to sketch with accuracy. its size is perfect to move around under the paper and the patterns comes in different scales.
